TALENTS Leadership Academy
The TALENTS Leadership Academy is a part KACTE's commitment to professional development and improving CTE classrooms by enhancing teacher quality. TALENTS -- Teachers As Leaders: Empowering New Thinking Skills -- is presented by KACTE with support from the Kentucky Department of Education Office of Career and Technical Education. It is designed as a leadership program for classroom Career and Technical Education teachers. The goals are excellence in the classroom, leadership at school, and advocacy in the community.
TALENTS currently is being re-structured for the fourth cohort. It consists of three sessions; an intial program in conjunction with the Annual CTE Summer Program, followed by one program in the fall and one program in the winter. Detailed information and registration forms will be available by March 1, 2016. KACTE is seeking funding support to provide housing, per diem, and presentation scholarships for all participants at the fall and winter sessions. The maximum cohort is 25 CTE professionals.
