What's In It For Me? KACTE 100 Percent Challenge
All schools with Career and Technical Education programs are eligible to participate in the KACTE 100 percent challenge. To win, a school/college with a CTE department, a district-wide CTE department, locally operated CTE centers or area technology centers, must attain 100 percent membership of their professional faculty and CTE administration. The deadline for submittal of new member applications and a letter requesting recognition for attaining 100 Percent KACTE Membership is March 31, 2008. Send new members applications and request letter to KACTE, P.O. Box 4583, Frankfort, KY 40601-4583. E-mail kls56@mis.net for further information. All schools meeting the KACTE 100 Percent Challenge will be recognized with a plaque at the 2008 Statewide Career and Technical Education Summer Program at the Galt House Hotel, Louisville, July 27-30. The school also is eligible to submit a nomination for the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) Achieve 100 recognition. Each qualifying school will receive one complimentary registration to the 2009 Statewide Career and Technical Education Summer Program. The school determines the recipient of the complimentary registration. One member from the qualifying schools will be chosen randomly to receive one paid registration and three paid hotel nights at the ACTE Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, Dec. 4-6, 2008.
