Student Organization Leadership Day

Student Organization Leadership Day is presented by the Kentucky Association for Career and Technical Education and is held during National Career and Technical Education Month.

The goal of Student Organization Leadership Day is to raise visibility and demonstrate excellence of Career and Technical Education programs by providing officers of Career and Technical Education Student Organizations a leadership activity that addresses Kentucky’s Learning Goals and Academic Expectations.

Student Organization Leadership Day is designed to encourage these future leaders to be responsible citizens. A two-hour legislative awareness program features presentations by Kentucky legislators, on the role of lobbyists, and from students who role-play the proper way to present an issue to legislators. Enclosed is a copy of the draft program. Handout material explains Kentucky’s legislative and governing processes.
